Learning to Ride the Waves of Energy
Here we are going along in life. It never stops. It seems life is always coming at you from all angles and sides.
Some days can feel amazing like everything is just “flowing and light” and feeling great. Other days may be good and still other days can feel heavy and you’re not feeling like yourself. On these days you wish for anything to make you feel better, lighter.
However, these “heavy” energetic days serve a purpose in life. Maybe you are being guided to rest, do some self-care, or to let go of something whether that is emotional, mental or physical.
On these heavier energetic days, I have learned to go easier on myself. I’ve learned to stop for a moment and ask myself what it is I need. I encourage you to do the same. Just take a few minutes to sit quietly and then ask yourself, “what should I do today?” or “what do I need today?” and then listen for your answer and respect what comes to you and follow the guidance.
No matter what we do, the sun will rise and set. Time can feel like it speeds up and slows down. We have no control over this.
What you do have control over is how you respond to what is happening around you and within you.
It is not easy to go through heavy energy, however, it is not the end of the world even though it may “feel” like it.
Just this past month, I had some of the best days of my life where everything did seem to go my way. I was feeling amazing, like nothing could go wrong. Then one day, I felt a shift in energy that indicated a downward motion or feeling that was going to last for sometime, about 10 days or so.
It wasn’t my imagination, the energy around me and within me felt heavier. I no longer felt light. So, what do you do? You practice allowing, flowing with these waves of energy The Best You Can with no judgement, a lot of self-care, kindness and compassion.
It’s a time for clearing out what no longer serves a purpose - whatever that means to you.
It can also be a time to prepare for what is coming next. It can be a time for reflection and growth even if it doesn’t feel like it.
As I was feeling these changes, I noticed it correlated with the Moon phases. In speaking with a friend, she concluded the same thing. The May full moon was a time and shift in energy that got “heavy” and it lasted nearly 14 days.
Just within the past couple of days, I began feeling lighter again as if this “cloud” has cleared. What did I do during this time? How did I handle the wave of heavier energy? I slept…a lot…I initially didn’t want to, but it was what I was being guided to do. Rest. Let go. So I gave in and slept.
At times I felt lazy, however, after giving in and resting, I found I had more energy after waking up. I still felt a little heavy, but I was able to complete some tasks I needed to do. After a short time, I would get tired again, and sleep some more. Some days I didn’t have motivation to do anything, so I didn’t do much.
Point being, listen to yourself, what do you need during these heavier energetic times? Respect what you're guided to do and life won’t be so stressful.
love the following poem by the Hopi Elders. Here is a link to the website I found this from, awakin.org
We are the One’s we’ve been waiting for by Hopi Elders
You have been telling people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered…
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for your leader.
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word ’struggle’ from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
--Hopi Elders' Prophecy, June 8, 2000
Remember to be kind to yourself and others for we don’t know what everyone else is here to do or learn spiritually. Allow grace and be grateful for ALL things always, no matter how they come. Nothing happens by accident. It all serves a purpose.
With much Love and Light,
Katy
